OFSTED KEY JUDGEMENT

 KEY PRIORITIES

Leadership and Management

  • Ensure that all staff, particularly those who are new to school and new to their career, are inducted well and receive effective CPD in order to be highly effective
  •  Further support middle leaders to develop their skills in effectively leading a curriculum area
  • To further strengthen our governance structure of the school 

Quality of Education

  • Sustain the strong outcomes achieved in 2019 in core subjects at the Expected Standard
  • Further strengthen the provision in reading and phonics so that outcomes at the Greater Depth standard are further improved
  • Ensure teachers have the subject expertise and pedagogy to teach the full range of subjects
  • Ensure the classroom environment and delivery of subject specific teaching leads to pupils knowing more and remembering more
  • Ensure that teaching challenges pupils of all abilities particularly those who are more able

Behaviour and Attitudes

  • Sustain and continue to build on the improvements in attendance so that attendance overall is better than national and PA remains lower than that seen nationally

Personal Development

  • Embed into practice the training given to all staff on the understanding and respect for protected characteristics
  • To review and rebuild the curriculum for SRE

Early Years

  • Embed the teaching of early literacy (phonics) and numeracy so that pupils make rapid progress in basic skills to access the curriculum
