During the summer term, when learning about habitats, Team Dolphins visited The Deep. We were able to look at the different creatures who live under the sea, including sharks, sting rays and jelly fish. We even got to see feeding time.
Wow! What amazing talents we have in our school! From the auditions to the final contestants, there was a huge range of talent, including singing, dancing, football skills, karate, playing musical instruments and even comedy. After a tough final, the judges awarded first place to singer, Isabelle G who stole the show with her rendition of Adele’s ‘Hello’. A huge well done to all who took part.
In July 2016, the whole school took part in an Olympic themed Sports Day. The children were split into Olympic countries, each taking part in different sports. To name a few, they hurdled, threw javelins, ran relays and egg and spooned, with the blue team winning overall.
Here at Darrington we loved exploring and experimenting with different equipment to further our learning in science. It all started with a BANG(!) when a mad scientist visited our school for an explosive assembly.
We were then able to plan and show our own experiments and carry out different investigations with our classmates.
