Welcome to the Darrington CE Primary School website
At Darrington CE Primary School, ‘Peace’, ‘Friendship’ and ‘Respect’ are the key Christian Values that underpin our Christian ethos. We strive to equip pupils with the skills to become lifelong motivated and independent learners by providing a curriculum that is broad, balanced and relevant to their needs. We work extremely hard to enable all of our pupils to have the enthusiasm, confidence and skills to achieve their full potential. I am proud to be headteacher of this wonderful school.
Our ‘school family’ culture enables us to foster a safe and welcoming atmosphere within which parents, carers, governors, staff and pupils work collaboratively to enable pupils to achieve both academically and socially. We create a real sense of belonging through our caring approach and every child is able to feel confident and positive about themselves both as an individual and as part of our school family. Our caring Christian environment helps them to succeed and grow, whilst feeling happy, safe and valued.
We believe that each child is special and unique as they are in the eyes of God. We place a big emphasis on the spiritual development of everyone in the school. We want evryone to feel happy, safe and valued in our school family.
At Darrington CE Primary School we take great pride in our beautiful school grounds and our indoor learning environment which reflect our passion for striving for the best in everything we do. Darrington CE Primary School is very busy with a wealth of stimulating learning activities that enhance the curriculum. Of course, high standards of English and Maths are our priority but we enrich our traditional reading, writing and mathematics lessons with a wide range of trips, outdoor activities and creative lessons that ‘bring learning to life’ to engage and inspire the children.
This is a very popular school and we are extremely proud of our reputation. Ofsted said in June, 2015, that we are a 'good school with outstanding features.' As a Church school, we have a SIAMS inspection, which in January 2016, made the judgement that we are an Outstanding Church school.' This is thanks to a team of professional, talented and committed staff who are dedicated to getting the very best from every one of our pupils.
Please come and visit us and see our happy and vibrant school for yourselves. We look forward to meeting you.
